Adventure awaits around every corner! Located in the heart of Old Strathcona, Fringe is the perfect way to experience all the area has to offer. Our key landmarks are the Fringe Theatre Arts Barns and ATB Park (known as Wilbert McIntyre Park or Gazebo Park). While you’re here, we enthusiastically recommend you explore all our neighbouring shops, restaurants, and businesses. Need help deciding where to start? Check out oldstrathcona.ca.

Getting to the Festival

Getting to the Festival is a breeze, no matter where you are coming from!

Bike or Walk

Make the most of these precious summer days by biking or walking to Festival. It’s good for the environment, good for you, and reduces traffic congestion. Bonus: you won’t have to pay for parking! Or drive around endlessly looking for a parking spot! Bike parking lots are available on site, but be sure to bring your own locks!

Free Fringe Shuttle

Edmonton Transit Service

Edmonton Transit is our transportation of choice for getting to Fringe! Riding ETS is a great way to travel that’s better for the environment and lighter on your wallet. With several bus routes along Whyte Ave, taking transit helps reduce traffic around the site. Plus, you might just meet fellow fringers! Take routes 8, 701, 4, 404, 523, or 9 along Whyte Ave or Gateway Boulevard to get to and from Fringe. You can also plan your own personal route by using the Transit app or ETS Trip Planner.

High Level Streetcar

Commuting doesn’t get much more spectacular than this! Operating on a special Fringe Festival schedule, the streetcar connects downtown to Old Strathcona via the tippy-top of the High Level Bridge, giving you a one-of-a-kind view of our beautiful city before dropping you off right on our doorstep.

Parking

We know it can be a drag to find parking in the area. But imagine how much worse it must be for the locals who compete with avid fringers each year to get parking in front of their own homes! Please respect our neighbours and resist the temptation to park in the residential streets surrounding the Festival site. Check out the list of paid parking lots that can be found at oldstrathcona.ca/visit.
