Silent Auction Donation Requests

Fringe Theatre is a registered charity. We exist to amplify Artists’ voices, illuminate stages, and cultivate community.  

As part of our commitment to community, we are proud to support fellow charities and not-for-profit organizations that champion arts and culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

For eligible fundraising events, Fringe Theatre may be able to provide tickets to select Fringe Theatre Season performances for use in silent auctions, raffles, prizes, or other fundraising initiatives.  

When We Accept Requests

We accept donation requests September through March each year.  

We are unable to fulfill donation requests from April through August as our team focuses its resources on preparing for and delivering the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.

Please submit your request at least five weeks before your event to give our team enough time to review and process it.

What We Cannot Provide:

Fringe Theatre does not provide:

• Donations in support of corporate or for-profit business events;
• Gift cards; 
• Tickets to third-party events or productions taking place at the Fringe Theatre Arts Barns that are not produced or presented by Fringe Theatre; or 
• Complimentary tickets to indoor shows at the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.

The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival operates differently from a traditional presenting model: Fringe Artists receive 100% of the profit from their Festival ticket sales. We are committed to helping Artists earn the strongest box office possible, which means we do not offer their tickets as complimentary donations for external fundraising initiatives.

Eligibility

Before submitting your request, please ensure your organization meets the following criteria:

• You are representing a registered charity or not-for-profit organization; and  
• Your organization supports arts and culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, or accessibility.  

Reciprocal Support

We’re delighted to work with organizations that have the capacity to support Fringe Theatre in return.

When completing the form, you’ll have the option to tell us about a reciprocal gift or experience your organization may be able to provide. This could include tickets to a performance, admission to an attraction, a gift or product, or another experience that we can share with our community.

Reciprocal gifts help us recognize and celebrate the people who make Fringe possible and may be used for initiatives such as Volunteer appreciation or other charitable programs.

A reciprocal gift is appreciated but is not required for your request to be considered.

Please remember:

• Requests must be submitted at least five weeks before your event. 
• Requests are accepted September through March only.
• Submitting a request does not guarantee that Fringe Theatre will be able to provide a donation.

We receive a high volume of requests and are unfortunately unable to fulfill every one. Our team will contact you if your request is successful.
