Fringe Festival Tours & Special Events

New to Fringe? Fringe-curious? Or ready to unlock your next level of Fringing? 

Discover Fringe is your all-access introduction to North America’s largest, longest-running Fringe Theatre Festival. We’ll show you around, share a few stories, take in a show together, and help you discover everything you need to plan your next Fringe adventure. 

As a Very Important Fringer (VIF), you’ll take a guided tour of the Fringe Festival Grounds, complete with behind-the-scenes stories, insider tips, and everything you need to confidently find your way around.  

Then, it’s showtime! You pick the genre and we’ll pick the performance, introducing you to the joy of taking a chance on something unexpected. 

After the show, we’ll grab a drink in the Sea Change North Beer Tent, swap stories, and answer the most important question of the day: what are you seeing next? 

Your Discover Fringe experience includes: 

• A guided tour of the Fringe Festival Grounds, including behind-the-scenes stories about North America’s largest, longest-running Fringe Theatre Festival 

• A ticket to a live theatre performance – you pick the genre, we’ll pick the show! 

• A drink in a Sea Change Beer Tent following the performance (non-alcoholic beverage options available). 

• A copy of the 2026 printed 152-page! Festival Guide 

• A copy of The Fringers’ Almanac, our book celebrating the stories and legacy of Edmonton Fringe 

• BONUS! Linger a little longer and chat with our expert Volunteers. They’ll share their favourite tips, tricks, and advice to help you plan the rest of your Fringe adventure.

• Sunday, August 16, 12:30PM – 4:00PM, Show Genre: Comedy/Drama 

• Tuesday, August 18, 12:45PM – 4:15PM, Show Genre: Storytelling 

Note: This is a walking tour. Short stops will be available on the tour to rest, but please be prepared to walk up to 1 KM.

To honour the historic impact of Queer Artists and their stories, we’ve partnered with the Edmonton Queer History Project (EQHP) to bring you some special tours during the Fringe! 

Tours include: 

• A history tour of Old Strathcona (supported by EQHP) 

• A ticket to a Queer show at the Festival. 

• An opportunity to meet at the Beer Tents post-show to meet the Artist. 

There are 4 tours to choose from: 

• Friday, August 14, 5:00PM – 8:00PM, Show Genre: Cabaret/Variety 

• Saturday, August 15, 5:45PM – 8:45PM, Show Genre: Storytelling 

• Sunday, August 16, 4:15PM – 7:15PM, Show Genre: Puppetry 

• Monday, August 17, 5:00PM – 8:00PM, Show Genre: Improv/Sketch 

Tickets are $30 per person (inclusive of GST and fees).

Discover the colour, creativity, and community behind Edmonton’s murals with guided tours during the 2026 Edmonton Mural Festival! 

Come tour Edmonton’s coolest neighbourhhoods, eat great food, and for this tour, end up with enough time to catch a Fringe show. 

What to Expect: 

• A 2.5 hour guided walk through Old Strathcona 

• Leaving from SouthBark on Whyte (10565 82 Ave). Ending at the Fringe Grounds. 

• An assortment of dishes from 3+ awesome local spots (included in your ticket!) 

• Insider stories on the murals and the artists—local, national, and international 

• Catch live murals in progress!

• Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in at your tour’s starting location.
