Safer Spaces

We believe in creating safer spaces that celebrate creative risk.

We’re happy you’re here, fringer. You belong here. When you fringe with us, you join a community that is vibrant, diverse, inclusive, welcoming, and safe.

We believe in creating safer spaces that celebrate creative risk, and we’re committed to creating safer spaces where community thrives. We’re all in this together – thanks for being awesome.

Reporting and Resources

Report an Incident

Your voice matters. If you witness or experience bullying, harassment, discrimination, abuse, threats, or assault, we want to hear from you. Please submit a report below. Reports may be made anonymously.

Crisis Resources

Here at Fringe, we’re professional artists and administrators and community activators. We aren’t professional crisis counsellors or first responders, but we are happy to help connect you to the support you need. If you require professional help or support, we encourage you to please access available community crisis resources.

Our Pledge & Policy

Fringing is for everyone. Here a Fringe Theatre, we believe in care and kindness above all else. We’re all in this together. We extend a warm, inviting, intentional welcome to everyone who connects with us: artists, audiences, volunteers, patrons, clients, and community members. We aim to treat everyone with equal respect, kindness, enthusiasm, and care.

Our Safer Spaces Program provides initiatives, policy, and procedures that encourage inclusion, reduces opportunities for harm, and supports victims, survivors, and allies who choose to report an incident.

Take a look at our safer spaces policies, pledge, and initiatives.

Fringe Theatre’s Safer Spaces Program is subject to instant improvement. We are listening. We are learning. We are committed to doing the work, and we commit to continuing that work. Questions, comments, and suggestions very welcome. Please email us at hello@fringetheatre.ca.
