Choose Your Team!
The first step to becoming a Fringe volunteer is choosing a team. We have 10 volunteer teams to choose from that each support a different aspect of the Festival. Follow the links to find out more about each team’s duties and qualifications, and to apply.
We ask that volunteers choose a single team to join so they can become experts in a certain area of the Festival. The one exception is the Host Team. Volunteers are welcome to join the Host Team (which does not have traditional shifts during the Festival), and one additional team. There may be opportunities for volunteers to pick up shifts on other teams during the Fringe.
Beer Tents
The Beer Tents Team keeps the party rolling! They are responsible for the sale and service of drinks in our beer tents.

Box Office
Volunteers on the Box Office Team are the experts on all things ticketing! They work at multiple box office locations on Festival Grounds and are responsible for selling and printing tickets.

First Aid
The First Aid Team is there when accidents happen! They are responsible for the safety of all Fringers, including Patrons, Staff, Volunteers, and Artists.

Front of House
The Front of House Team welcomes every Patron to their show! They work at indoor ticketed venues and are responsible for greeting Fringers, managing lineups, and scanning tickets at the door.

Host
The Host Team opens their homes and hearts to our travelling Artists! They provide a place for out-of-town Artists to stay while participating in the Festival.

Information and Engagement (On-Site)
The Information and Engagement Team make Patrons’ Fringe experience awesome! The on-site role supports Fringers on Festival Grounds to answer questions or provide tips on how to make the most of the Fringe.

The Information and Engagement Team has opportunities to volunteer virtually from home! The virtual role responds to Patron inquiries through our live chat program.

KidsFringe
The KidsFringe Team makes theatre accessible for our tiniest Fringers! This team operates the family-friendly mini-site called KidsFringe.

Kitchen
The Kitchen Team keeps all Volunteers fed and fueled! Working in the Volunteer Patio, this team will prepare, serve, and deliver healthy meals and snacks for all our Volunteer team members.

Multimedia
The Multimedia Team captures Fringe’s colourful energy, diversity, and excitement! By roaming Festival Grounds and observing various events, activities, and scenes, this team takes photos and videos of the Festival.
