The first step to becoming a Fringe Festival volunteer is to choose a team to join. We have 13 volunteer teams to choose from that each support a different aspect of the Festival. The Agents Team works behind the scenes during the Festival in the count room. Inside Agents are responsible for counting, verifying, recording, and organizing cash as it is deposited from box offices, beer tents, info booths, and other areas of the Festival.LEARN MORE!
The Ambassadors Team are the ultimate hosts! Outgoing and fun-loving, our Ambassadors are the beating heart of the Fringe grounds, offering a friendly face and a kind word to patrons and volunteers.LEARN MORE!
The Beer Tents Team keeps the party rolling! They are responsible for the sale and service of drinks in our beer and wine tents.LEARN MORE!
Volunteers on the Box Office Team are the experts on all things ticketing! They work at the many box office locations on or close to the Festival site and are responsible for selling tickets to all of the indoor shows.LEARN MORE!
The First Aid Team is there when accidents happen! They are responsible for the safety of all fringers, including patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists.LEARN MORE!
Front of House
The Front of House Team welcomes every patron to their show! They work at our 10 lottery venues (venues managed by Fringe Theatre) and are responsible for greeting patrons, managing lineups, and scanning tickets at the door.LEARN MORE!
The Information Services Team are the folks with all the answers! They work at three information booths around the site and are responsible for answering patron questions and selling program guides.LEARN MORE!
The KidsFringe Team makes theatre accessible for our tiniest fringers! This team operates the Festival’s family-friendly mini-site called KidsFringe.LEARN MORE!
The Kitchen Team keeps all volunteers fed and fuelled! Working under the direction of our wonderful Food Program Coordinator Teresa, this team will prepare, serve, and deliver quick healthy meals and snacks for the 400 volunteers we see on site each day.LEARN MORE!
The Multimedia Team captures all the colourful energy, diversity, and excitement of the Festival! By roaming the site and observing various events, activities and scenes, this team is responsible for taking photos and videos to market the Festival, to promote volunteering for the Fringe as an exciting and rewarding cause, and to create a detailed visual record of each annual installment of the Festival.LEARN MORE!
Parking & Transportation
The Parking and Transportation Team keeps everyone moving safely as they fringe! They are responsible for monitoring multiple crosswalks and parking lots to help patrons navigate around the Festival site safely, no matter what form of transportation they choose to use.LEARN MORE!
The Volunteer Headquarters (VHQ) Team creates a home away from home for all volunteers! They operate VHQ, which is a central hub where each and every volunteer at the Festival comes to start and end their shifts.LEARN MORE!
