Promotional Photo and Video Call
Upload your photos and videos for the chance to be featured in general Fringe Festival promotions!
The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is committed to celebrating and promoting the incredible performances, art, and Artists that make our Festival bold and beautiful. We want to crank up the volume on Fringe and showcase the diverse, daring work that ignites our stages. That’s where you come in!
We’re giving all Fringe Artists the chance to have their performance photos and videos featured in our general Festival promotions! We’ll be selecting and curating photos and videos to meet our overall promotions strategy (and we’ll be sure to credit the work when the medium allows) – it’s a win-win!
Whether you’re a returning Artist, or making your Festival debut, we encourage you to share photos and videos of your art and the work that goes into it!

Ideal Photo and Video Content
Want to see your creative process in the spotlight (aka. used on Fringe Festival platforms for general promotions)?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Creative process photos and videos – from workshops and rehearsals, to backstage, to prop and costume design – anything that helps represent the time, energy, effort, and emotion you put into your art.
- On stage* – from past performances or dress rehearsals.
- Photos and videos that are visually compelling – should showcase interesting, unusual, genuine moments, and be able to evoke an emotional reaction.
*NOTE: ‘On stage’ includes photos and videos from any performance that has been or will be featured at Fringe, even if it was not taken at the Edmonton Fringe. For example, if your improv troupe is debuting a new show, photos from your previous performances are welcome.

The purpose and usage is different – we’ll be using these photos to market and promote the Edmonton Fringe Festival in general. We won’t be promoting your show or company specifically. However, we will credit the company when possible.
No, you can submit photos of you on stage or in rehearsal for Fringe shows of the past. If you have favourite photos and videos that are a good representation of your Fringe process or career, we’d love to see them!
There is never a wrong time to submit photos and videos, we accept submissions all year long, however since we plan Festival promotions well before Festival, submitting earlier helps us consider the photos and videos you submit as part of our Festival promotion strategy.
- Spring Deadline (most likely to be considered for 2026 Festival promo) – May 15
- Pre-Fest Deadline (may be considered for 2026 Festival promo) – June 30
- Anytime (will be considered for general Fringe promo and for 2027 pre-Festival promo – perfect if you often or regularly perform at the Edmonton Fringe Festival)
Unfortunately, we’re not able to guarantee that the photos and videos you submit will be featured. We’ll be selecting and curating photos and videos to meet our overall promotions strategy.
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.
Ready to Submit?
If you choose to submit photos and video, you’re giving us permission to use them for general Fringe Theatre and Edmonton Fringe Festival promotions. Please note:
- Not all photos and videos submitted will be used – we’ll be curating based on the project, our overall promotions strategy, and the adherence to criteria.
- We promote Festival 365 days a year – your photos and videos may not be used leading up to or during the Edmonton Fringe Festival in August.
- We will likely be sharing photos and videos in a collection (ex: multiple photos from multiple companies/shows in one social post).
- You are welcome to provide videos with sound, but the audio may not be incorporated into promotional media.
