I’m a Vendor. How can I apply?

Vendor Applications for the 2026 Edmonton International Fringe Festival are now officially closed.

The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is the largest, longest running Fringe Theatre Festival in North America. Anchored in Edmonton’s Old Strathcona district, our Festival showcases hundreds of theatre productions and outdoor performances featuring more than 1,600 local, national, and international Artists inside theatres and across our outdoor site. Offering something for everyone, the Festival sees an attendance of more than 500,000 site visits over 11 days every August. Festival Vendors awaken all five senses of our Fringers.

*Please be wary of scams that may attempt to impersonate Fringe Theatre. We will not contact you from a third-party email address (ex: gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.). We will not contact you to ask for payment if you have not: submitted an application, had that application approved, and engaged you with an official signed contract for this year’s Festival.

2026 Important Dates for Vendors

PLEASE NOTE: Deadlines prior to Festival may shift depending on date of application. For more information, please contact vendoradmin@fringetheatre.ca 

February 2026: Applications open for Vendors online at fringetheatre.ca. Vendors without online access to the application form may request that an application form be sent to them via email, or they may come to the Fringe office and fill one out. 

Monday March 23, 2026 at 11:59pm MST: Deadline for Vendors to submit applications. 

Tuesday April 7, 2026: Deadline for Vendor Coordinator to inform Vendors of their acceptance or refusal into the Festival. Contracts will follow within 1 week of this notification for successful applicants. 

Tuesday, May 18, 2026: Deadline for Vendors to electronically provide a signed contract to the Vendor Coordinator. 

Monday, June 1, 2026: First payment installment due: 50% of total fees must be paid in order to reserve space.  

Please note: Fringe Theatre only accepts electronic forms of payment, via e-transfer, electronic fund transfer (EFT), and/or major credit cards. In-person payments (Cash, Credit Card, cheque or debit) will NOT be accepted. Upon contract signing, Vendors will be issued an electronic QuickBooks invoice via email with further payment details. 

Monday, July 6, 2026: Final installment / balance due. All additional documentation required to participate in the Festival is also due.

Monday, August 10 – Wednesday, August 12, 2026: Vendors load in to the Festival site as per load-in schedule set by Vendor Coordinator. 

Thursday, August 13 – Sunday, August 23, 2026: Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival 

The main Festival site will be open: 

  • Thursday, August 13 (Opening): 6 PM to 11 PM  
  • Friday, August 14 – Saturday, August 22: 11 AM to 11 PM  
  • Sunday, August 23 (Closing): 11 AM to 8 PM  

All Vendors must remain open during these specified times for the duration of Festival.

Vendor Applications for the 2026 Edmonton International Fringe Festival are now officially closed. We are not accepting late applications.
Applications for the 2027 Edmonton International Fringe Festival will open in February of 2027.
