Looking to learn? We’re happy to help.

Fringe Learn is an online learning platform built to prepare, inform, and empower our community. Stories teach. Stories start brave conversations. So our courses are intentionally story-based and artistically driven. This interactive tool supports our year-round training and orientation efforts. Offerings include courses specific to Fringe Theatre, but also training and professional development courses relevant circuit- and industry-wide. Online delivery allows our learners access to training independently, in advance, from any location, with accessibility built in mind from the start. Current courses include Creating a Culture of Consent, Consent in Context, Anti-Racism 101, Gender and Identity, Festival Volunteer Training, and Festival staff onboarding.

Creating a Consent Culture

Made in partnership with the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE), this interactive, story-based learning experience will guide you through the topic of consent and its significance in our day-to-day lives.

Consent in Context

A follow-up to Creating a Consent Culture, this course expands on the topic of consent with new scenarios and information.

Anti-Racism 101

Made in partnership with Browns Consulting, this interactive learning experience explores the impact of racism, guides you through the topic of anti-racism, and provides skills to address racism in personal and community contexts.

Gender and Identity

Created by Fringe Festivals from across Canada, this course will give you some tools and language to confidently treat people of all genders with respect.
