KidsFringe Opening Ceremonies Presents:
KoRock & Jeon’s TKD Demonstration Team
Friday, August 16 from 10:30–11:30am
at KidsFringe

In English, KoRock is an abbreviation of Korean Rock. In Korea, KoRock [ka-rak] represents a type of music that synchronizes beat and rhythm with low, mid, and high tones. Taekwondo is Korean Traditional physical and mental martial arts training. Tae, meaning to kick or jump; Kwon, meaning fist or hand; and Do, which means “the way.” KoRock & Jeon’s Taekwondo combines Korean drumming beats and rhythms with the traditional movements of Taekwondo for a fun, familyfriendly demonstration.

Let’s Go Bananas! Beppie Live in Concert

Edmonton’s own Juno nominated Beppie (Stephanie Nhan) comes live to the KidsFringe stage! Her newest album Let’s Go Bananas! was recently nominated for the 2019 Juno Award for Children’s Album of the Year. Her music is fun, high energy and refreshingly modern. Don’t miss this one-time concert in KidsFringe!

Little Kickers Training Zone

Little Kickers Training Zone located at the Kids Fringe! This complimentary space is a place for your little ones to run off some steam while learning some of the FUNdamentals of soccer. The perfect way to ignite enthusiasm for sports that will stay with your child for life!

Join Let’s Talk Science volunteers for some fun, hands-on science. We will explore the life cycles of animals and make some toothpaste made for elephants! For even more fun, we will explore the chemistry of dry ice. Children of all ages are welcome! Let’s Talk Science is a national, charitable organization that creates and delivers science, technology, engineering and math activities for children and youth to help them develop skills for the future.

Sing, Sign, Laugh and Learn
Edmonton Public Library

Signing, rhyming and singing! This 45-minute class gives caregivers a chance to interact one-on-one with their children through repetition, movement, and visual strategies like scarves and shakers. Children 0-36 months and their caregivers.

Silly Songs and Stories with Mr. Chris

Mr. Chris and his Ukulele ‘Brung’ have come to tell stories and sing some silly songs. Join them on a fantastic journey of the imagination.

Family Groove with J’Adore Dance

At J’Adore Dance, we believe that everyone can dance! Come and join us for Movement Exploration, Obstacle Courses, Parachute Time, and Props as we move and groove with dancers of all ages. Our classes promote dance as a form of recreation, expression, physical activity, personal growth, and most importantly, FUN, in a supportive, noncompetitive environment!

Martha Messmaker Sing-along

Join Martha and her friends in this sing-along, dance-along, and instrument play along! Sing familiar songs and learn some new ones!

Silly Stories and Sillier Songs with Allie

Bring your little ones on down to KidsFringe for magical stories, goofy songs and wacky games with Edmonton performer Allie Billings! Whether practicing our best penguin marches, learning where the sun came from or whatever silliness ensues, Allie is here to make sure your tots get moving, and grooving.

Hanul Art School

Tianna the Traveller’s Adventure Stunt Show

Tianna travels the world collecting stunts, meeting people, and learning from unexpected experiences. In this new kids’ show, she explores how to face challenges and take controlled risks by sharing stories from her adventures.

Jess the Mess

They call her Jess The Mess and 5 minutes into her show you’ll understand why! Armed with a sparkly personality, fire, eggs, and some seriously sweet dance moves, one of New Zealand’s funniest clowns brings
you an interactive comedy street show entertaining both little and big kids alike.

Camp Multi-Arts

The participants of the Camp Multi-Arts present BizArt, a performance of their own creation that explores all things weird through music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. The Camp Multi-Arts is a two-week, arts
focused day camp for French-speaking kids in grades 1 to 7.

Martha Messmaker in “The Messy Birthday”

Martha is having a birthday but no one is coming? How can that be? Is it because her house is too messy? Wait and see what happens next in this children’s musical that teaches the importance of self-love.

African Dance
