Hayley Moorhouse (she/her) is a new addition to the Fringe Team as the Patron Services & Box Office Manager. Read below to learn more about Hayley!

What is your Fringe story?

I’ve been involved with Fringe in a couple of ways over the years. Firstly, as an audience member, as a festival artist in the last 5 years or so, and most recently in my new role as Patron Services & Box Office Manager. What keeps me coming back to Fringe is the sense of community. The entire crew – volunteers, staff, artists, audiences, and community partners – all go above and beyond to ensure that everyone is enthusiastically embraced into the Fringe experience, no matter who they are. The is a very special thing!

What is something you are learning right now?

Right now, I am (slowly…painfully…) trying to teach myself cooking skills that take me beyond scrambled eggs and mediocre grilled cheeses. Any tips are extremely welcome!

What are you most excited about as you move into your new role?

There are so many things I’m excited about in this new position, it’s hard to pick just one. I’m excited to support Fringe’s mandate of radical hospitality for all. I’m excited to help bring amazing events and experience into the building. Most of all, I’m just excited to connect with a ton of fringers, and see what inspiration/creativity/joy/fun sparks from those connections!

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I’m an actor and playwright, so theatre makes up a big portion of my life even outside of my role at Fringe. Other passions include pugs, my friends, & family, yoga, poetry, music, pugs, astrology, Slurpees, meditation/mindfulness, pugs, birds, snails, pugs, & pugs.

If joy became the national currency, what kind of work would make you wealthy?

Conversing with pugs, of course.
