KidsFringe is a free, fun and a family-friendly mini-Fringe site organized by Fringe Theatre Adventures (FTA) specifically for our littlest Fringers. We provide ten days of exciting arts-based activities and entertainment for children and youth, their families and caregivers.

  • Interactive plays created and performed by the KidsFringe Youth Troupe
  • Performances and workshops with professional musicians, storytellers, magicians and puppeteers!
  • Community organizations teaching about health and well-being

A magical place of books and storytelling where children are taken on fun adventures using their imaginations.

Visual art is created using recycled materials.

A special spot in the centre of KidsFringe where the Youth Troupe leads a variety games and activities. Watch out for the parachute!

Designed for parents with ‘little ones,’ the Tots Tent features samplings from local classes, puppet shows, songs, games and activities for newborns to 5-year-olds.

WHO is involved?

The KidsFringe family is made up of a creative staff, a talented Youth Troupe, exceptional artists and guests and dedicated volunteers! We work hard to ensure quality programming that supports the needs and interests of our littlest Fringers.

KidsFringe welcomes children ages newborn to 12 and their parents or caregivers. Every child must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Groups of children accompanied by adult supervision are welcome. Group Leaders are asked to book in advance to ensure maximum opportunity for participation.

WHERE is KidsFringe located?

KidsFringe is located at the North end of the Fringe site on 104 Street between 85 and 86 Avenues.

WHY do we do it?

KidsFringe is dedicated to fostering an interest in, and appreciation for, theatre in children and youth. We use the power of theatre to improve communication, creativity and self-expression. We share theatre that celebrates diversity and connects people to one another and to their community, both locally and globally.
